Candidate / Officeholder Information
After Submission
Your response will be publicly displayed on one of three pages, depending on the option you select:

If you checked the first option (you fully support The People’s Amendment as written and pledge to support a clean, stand-alone vote):

  • Once verified, your name and pledge will appear publicly on the “Leaders Who Stand With the People” page — organized by state and office — so voters can see clearly who supports the proposal, passage, and ratification of Article XXVIII as written.

If you checked the second option (the proposed People’s Amendment has your support only if certain changes are made):

Once verified, your name will appear publicly on the “Leaders Who Require Changes to The People’s Amendment” page — organized by state and office — with a link to a page that includes the specific changes you proposed (up to 2,500 characters) and any response from Renewal-USA administrators.

If you checked the third option (you do not support The People’s Amendment):

  • Once verified, your name will appear publicly on the “Leaders Who Decline to Support The People’s Amendment” page — organized by state and office — so voters may see clearly that you do not support the Amendment at this time.
Disclosure Notice for leaders who do not respond within ten days after being contacted:
  • If you, as a candidate or officeholder, do not respond within ten days after being contacted with a request to state your position, your name will appear publicly on the “Leaders Who Did Not Respond Within Ten Days as Requested” page — organized by state and office — so voters can clearly see that you have not provided us with your public position on the People’s Amendment.

If you later revise your position, you agree to state that openly and provide your reasons, and you authorize Renewal-USA to update Renewal-USA’s public records accordingly.
